What are Performance Reviews?
Performance reviews are formal procedures that are conducted periodically in most of the organisations to evaluate employee performance, contributions, growth. They play an important role in pushing the employees for their betterment by being the platform for periodic feedback. We often find a top down approach in performance reviews where the only the manager can give feedback to his employees. But these days, the organisations are shifting towards a two way feedback where both employee and manager can provide reviews to each other.
When done right, Performance reviews let managers recognise the best performing employees and help the other employees reach their maximum potential.
